October 10 is World Mental Health Day, a day to raise awareness of mental health issues and encourage efforts in support of mental health. The effort we encourage is so simple but so impactful: say "hi" to everyone you see, everywhere and every time. "Hi" is the most basic act of kindness and inclusion. It eases the sense of isolation and loneliness. It makes every person in your community feel seen and valued. This one small word is the start of something big. Commit to saying "hi" this World Mental Health Day and every day.
